About the group

The group meets twice a year at a central Manchester venue to give members an opportunity to listen to a speaker on aspects of dystonia or a subject relating to general health and wellbeing. There is a raffle and refreshments and the meetings also give members a chance to chat. Around 24 people usually attend.

In addition the group meets several times a year for social events. These include meals, visits to gardens, the theatre and other places of interest to members. A small group of volunteers help to organise outings, raffles etc and individual members and their families raise awareness through fundraising activities such as the BUPA Great Manchester Run, plant sales and coffee mornings.
