Dystonia UK Membership

You should join us if, like us, you think Dystonia Matters.

We never forget our founders’ aim to support everyone living with dystonia and being a patient led organisation is still at the forefront of our ambitions today. At the heart of our organisation are our members.

Our members are a supportive and caring part of the dystonia community that help us achieve more. You can help us too by joining as a member today. The more people that join Dystonia UK the stronger we are and the bigger a difference we can make.

Why should I join Team Dystonia UK as a member?

Our members join for a whole host of reasons including:

How much does membership cost?

£2 a month - Individual Membership
£1 a month - Individual Concession Membership

The concession price is a reduced fee designed for those on low income, benefits, or pension. However, it is at your discretion which rate you would prefer to pay.

You can opt to pay annually or monthly.

What do you do with the money raised through membership?

Most of the membership fee covers the benefits you receive. The remaining amount contributes to our ongoing work.

With the help of those who’ve joined so far we’ve achieved so much, including:

  • creating and maintaining a support network across the UK through local and virtual support groups
  • offering advice and guidance to thousands of people through hosting national conferences and 'Living with Dystonia Days'
  • funding research and launching a training module for GPs in the British Medical Journal
  • raising awareness all over the world for people with dystonia and launching 'Dystonia Awareness Month' in the UK

Who can join Team Dystonia UK as a member?

Dystonia UK welcomes everyone as a member.

Whether you are living with dystonia yourself, know someone who does, work in neurology, are a parent or carer, or simply want to show your support of the dystonia community, everybody is welcome.

As there is a membership fee, please note you must be over 18 to become a member.

When you join you will receive a member’s pack that includes a welcome letter with your Dystonia UK membership number and the latest hard copy of our 'Dystonia Matters' magazine.
