Donate £1 to support the dystonia community today.

We are asking everyone in the dystonia community to donate #JustOnePound to support the work of Dystonia UK. We are aiming to raise £100,000, one pound for every person in the UK thought to be affected by dystonia. Please give £1 today and help us continue to support everyone living with dystonia. Thank you.

“A shoulder injury triggered off a massive progression of my dystonia... I was in pain and I was really struggling to move so I couldn't physically swim anymore.” - Tully and “I researched online for hours looking for anything that could help ease any anxieties about getting pregnant and how this would affect my dystonia.” - Julia

We exist to give hope and support to everyone living with dystonia. Dystonia affects people of all backgrounds, ages, races and circumstances and there are many different forms and types. Every pound raised in this appeal represents one incredible person in our community who all have their own story to tell:

Your money will support our continuing work giving hope and support to everyone living with dystonia in the UK.

With your money, we can continue to be there for the approximate 100,000 people living with dystonia in the UK providing information, being active members of policy making organisations and supporting research.  We can also raise awareness of dystonia through national campaigns and connect the dystonia community across the UK at online and in person events, support group meetings and through our ‘Dystonia Matters’ magazine and podcast.

We’ve launched this campaign now because our services have never been more needed. Our community has been through so much in recent years and we want to ensure we can continue to offer all the digital activities our community has come to love as well as reuniting again with in person events. We know the impact of COVID-19 has put additional strain on overstretched services and has made it even harder to access the right treatment and support. It’s more important than ever that we are here to offer hope and support to everyone living with dystonia in the UK.
