The only national charity providing support, advocacy and information for anyone affected by the neurological movement condition known as dystonia
Dystonia, estimated to affect at least 70,000 people in the UK across all generations from childhood upwards, is a very painful, debilitating and disabling disorder, however it lacks awareness among the general public and medical professionals.
The Dystonia Society is dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of the condition.
Below you can learn more about some of the ways you can get involved in raising awareness of dystonia.
We are looking for people who could help us raise awareness by delivering materials to their local clinic or treatment centre.
Dystonia Awareness Week 2018 is 5th - 13th May
The Dystonia Society is offering medical students the opportunity to learn more about dystonia through an essay competition where they can earn money in the process!
