Volunteers make a huge contribution to the work of The Dystonia Society. Here are some of the ways you can get involved.

Awareness raising in clinics

Currently, there is very little information on the Dystonia Society in clinics and treatment centres. In order to address this, we developed posters and postcards which publicise our services. We are looking for people who could help us raise awareness by delivering these materials to their local clinic or treatment centre.

Support Groups

We are immensely grateful to our volunteers across the UK who run our support groups. We could not offer this support without them.

If you are interested in volunteering with one of our groups click here to see if there is a group near you and call the volunteer contact of the group to see how you can help.

Become a trustee

Our Board of Trustees is made up of volunteers. Trustees are elected by the members of the Dystonia Society and serve a maximum of three years after which time they must be re-elected. Check back here to see when we are looking for trustees to join our Board.

Help out in our UK Office

Our office in London is a hub of activity run by a small team so we are always grateful to anyone who has the skills and time to offer to help us with our work. Whether it be stuffing envelopes or helping out with fundraising, if you would like to help out and live in London please email us at [email protected]
