About us Our people Trustees Penny Ritchie Calder, MBE (London) I have been a trustee since 2007, having originally joined the Society in 1998 when our son was diagnosed with generalised dystonia aged seven. I continue to have a particular interest in the impact of dystonia on young people and their families. I live in Kennington, south London. After a career as Head of Exhibitions at the Imperial War Museum, I am now a freelance museum consultant and writer, working for museums and journals in the UK and abroad. I also do voluntary work in the local community. I am a public reviewer for the NHS’s National Institute for Health Research and sit on the research panel of the National Osteoporosis Society. I serve as a churchwarden and secretary of the parochial church council of St Olave’s church in the City of London. In my spare time I enjoy cycling, history and travel. I love gardening, particularly guerrilla gardening in the local area where we delight in transforming unloved spaces into colourful green oases.
