About us News Clearing the backlog caused by the pandemic We work closely with The Neurological Alliance to coordinate policy and ensure that dystonia is highlighted in everything they do. The Neurological Alliance has recently published its response to the Health and Social Care Committee inquiry – Clearing the backlog caused by the pandemic. The Neurological Alliance is a coalition of more than 70 organisations in England working together to transform outcomes for the millions of people in England with a neurological condition. We work closely with the Neurological Alliance to coordinate policy and ensure that dystonia is highlighted in everything they do. The response makes recommendations in 4 key areas: Access to services Workforce Learnings from the pandemic Inequalities in care We are pleased to see they have included our recommendations in this report which helps to increase the awareness of dystonia and the needs of the patient community. In summary, the response also makes clear recommendations for the Government and NHS England & Improvement in dealing with the backlog.
