Chair of Trustees

Chris became Chair in 2019. He has extensive experience in the NHS having held board level director positions for over 20 years at Birmingham Children's Hospital, Sandwell Primary Care Trusts and George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton, until his retirement in 2014. During that period, he was involved in service planning and management, commissioning and dealing with quality issues in conjunction with both clinicians and patients.

He has been a governor of Queen Alexandra College (an independent specialist college and charity for people with disabilities) and was Chair from 2013 to 2018. Chris is a qualified accountant and his early career was spent in commerce and industry. Chris is married with two adult children, one of whom is autistic and works as a school cleaner in Coventry and the other who works as a digital designer in Sydney.

Chris is proud to be the oldest member of his local yoga class though his down-dog is nowhere near as good as that of his greyhound Bella!
