FOUR RUN MARATHON

Beth Scorer20 February 2008

Beth Scorer from Dartmouth in Devon, Paul Kendall from London, Stephen Killick from Radlett, Hertfordshire and another who wishes to remain anonymous are all raising sponsorship on our behalf by running in the Flora London Marathon on Sunday, April 13th.

Beth, whose mother, Toni, has been one of our members since 1990, said: “I’ve always wanted to take part in a marathon and to be running for a charity that has been such an important and special part of my family for so long. Sponsorship money is already coming in and we have some planned fundraising events.”

Paul KendallPaul, who hopes to run the marathon in four hours, says: “My sister-in-law suffers from blepharospasm and I felt I had to run for the Society to do my bit towards its aims of supporting research into dystonia and providing information and support. For all those who have generously donated so far, your support has proved a great boost for my training. As for future donors, I am sure your generosity will only improve my dedication and performance.

Stephen KillickStephen will be running in support of both the Dystonia Society and ADDER. He said: “This is my first full marathon so I have been training very hard and hope to raise lots of money for my two causes. In the course of her job, my wife visited a dystonia clinic in Leeds and was so moved by the people there that we agreed I should run to help them.
