Upgrading your phone? Finished an ink cartridge? Recycle them for The Dystonia Society!

21 March 2007

Old mobile phoneDid you know that throughout the year 2000 over 48 million inkjet and 7 million laser cartridges were used in the UK? Or that the average consumer replaces their mobile phone once or twice a year – that means a massive 15 million old mobile phones are discarded each year. These figures continue to rise, contributing to millions of tonnes of plastic and metal waste that will stay in the ground for ever. These cartridges and phones can be recycled and reused, saving precious natural resources and helping The Dystonia Society at the same time.
