CASUALTY'S 'CHARLIE' WELCOMES RAFFLE PRIZE WINNERS
24 October 2006

Actor Derek Thompson (Charlie Fairhead in BBC One's long-running medical series, 'Casualty', based in Bristol) plays host to three prize winners in a raffle organised by the South East London group of The Dystonia Society.
Ruby Yardley from Plymouth, accompanied by her 17-year old daughter Rachel and niece Beth, aged 18, were visiting the stars of the series on the set of 'Casualty' in Bristol in October.
Derek revealed in The Daily Mail (Good Health section) that he was undergoing treatment for cervical dystonia, also known as spasmodic torticollis, after being diagnosed three years ago.
