I am 66. I have Parkinson's (since 5yrs). Dystonia just seems to have joined in about 3/4 years ago. My neurologist has seemed reluctant to acknowledge the dystonia and we talk about the PD mostly. I have had to suggest to him that the NHS website recommends a muscle relaxant for the relief of dystonia, and he has agreed last week to let me try Baclofen and now Clonazepam Auden. So far no relief although I am sleeping for longer. My question is: do I need to see a specialist dystonia neurologist for my dystonia rather than my PD neurologist?
