We are delighted to announce that Fiona Ross, OBE, has agreed to become a Patron of The Dystonia Society
Fiona recently stepped down as Chair of the Board of Trustees after a four year stint in the role and ten years as a Trustee and has now agreed to become a Patron of the Dystonia Society – alongside Tom Beldon and Lord Macdonald of Tradeston.
Fiona was awarded the OBE for Services to Broadcasting in June 2005 and during a distinguished broadcasting career she has been involved in the reporting of crises and disasters such as the Lockerbie air crash of 1988, the collapse of BCCI in the early 90's, and the death of Princess Diana in 1997.
Whilst Political Correspondent at Scottish Television, Fiona interviewed every leading UK political figure and Prime Minister including Margaret Thatcher, and Tony Blair.
We are delighted that Fiona has agreed to become a Patron of the Dystonia Society, continuing her association with the charity.
Replacing Fiona as Chair of the Trustees is Joanna Atkin, who will be introducing herself in the next DystoniaMatters! magazine.
