Costa Rica Cycle Challenge

3rd-12th November 2017

This has to be one of the greatest charity cycle challenges out there. Beginning at the picturesque Playa del Coco on the Pacific Coast you’ll journey 500km across Costa Rica with scenery so stunning you’ll need to try hard to keep your eyes on the road.

With gorgeous white sand beaches, rainforests, bustling colonial cities, smouldering volcanoes, and tropical Caribbean lowlands - this breath-taking and challenging ride has a list of sensational sights as long as the route itself.

London to Paris

Various dates June-September 2018

Cycling from London to Paris is by far one of the best fundraising events in Europe. Join this Bike Ride for a truly inspirational experience, and a great way to raise funds for the Dystonia Society.

Starting in London, the 299 mile, 4 day route takes you through the glorious English countryside, to the ferry from Dover to Calais. Once ‘French side’, you push on cycling along quiet French country lanes, through traditional market towns with views of the rolling green hills of northern France. Get ready for a fantastic charity bike ride – the tarmac in France is superb, and cycling is the nation’s favourite sport so don’t be surprised when the locals make way for you and cheer you on!

Whether you are a regular cyclist or simply enjoy a Sunday afternoon meander, as long as you are willing to train, then this charity cycle event is perfect for you. All levels of ability are catered for on this ride. The special cycling experience, combined with a fantastic support crew to look after you, means this charity challenge is no longer a dream but a reality. There’s no need to worry about your luggage, water or food – they take care of it all – leaving you to just cycle and focus on your goal of reaching Paris.

The pièce de résistance of this cycle for charity will be the spectacular view of the 324 metre Eiffel Tower, which marks the finish line. The days in the saddle are long, but upon reaching Paris and celebrating our achievements in this fabulous capital, the saddle soreness soon wears off!

Prudential RideLondon 27th-29th July 2018

27th-29th July 2018

We're really excited to announce our first places for this year's Prudential RideLondon - the largest annual fundraising cycle event on the planet! Since beginning in 2013, it has raised over £17 million for good causes.

This instant fan-favourite cycle challenge takes you through a gripping course along the same closed roads the professional riders race on (that means no terrible traffic to navigate, plus ever so slightly less smog!) which take in some spectacular sights of the capital.

So what are you waiting for? Get on your bike and sign up!

If you can raise a minimum sponsorship of £500 and think you've got what it takes to go the distance - please email fundraising@dystonia.org.uk

 Rob Wiffen Lejog

This classic challenge ride of just over 1,000 miles that takes you all the way from the tip of Cornwall, through some of the most scenic areas of the United Kingdom, to the very top of the Scottish mainland.

Starting at Land’s End on the south-westerly tip of England, we pedal our way through Cornwall, over Dartmoor and north along the Welsh border, skirting the Lake District into Scotland, via lochs and the Highlands to the North Coast and John O’Groats.

In all you will cover roughly 1,000 miles, passing through some of the most stunning and remote countryside in the British Isles. This is a tough challenge but a fabulous way to see the country, and one of the most rewarding things you will ever do!

Cycle Vietnam to Cambodia

November 2017

This breath-taking charity bike ride is an established favourite and will take you from Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) to the ancient temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to explore the fascinating city of Saigon – the heart of Vietnam – before commencing with the charity challenge.

The 400km route will go through many traditional Vietnamese villages, follows gorgeous streams and rivers, passing paddy fields adjacent to stunning mountains. Few locals will have seen foreigners cycling past, and their interest and hospitality will spur on even the most tired cyclist.

We then cross the border into Cambodia and push on to the world famous temple site of Angkor Wat – arguably one of most fascinating wonders of the world! Built from 879 – 1191AD by the Khmer civilisation, Ankgor Wat represents one of mankind’s most astonishing architectural achievements and is certainly the jewel in Cambodia’s crown.

Two fascinating countries – one awesome charity challenge. Join this magical cycle today and experience South East Asia at its best!
