Thank you to our wonderful fundraising stars!

Roger & Simon Key (pictured above) regularly raise super sums of money for the Society. Their latest event was cycling from the Hamble river ferry all the way to the Folkestone cross channel ferry.

A total of 175 miles in length; this was a sponsored event and they were sponsored to a tune of £800.

Ben Barley (pictured above), ran the Great North Run in 2hrs and 14 minutes and raised a fantastic £1.050

Ben chose to run for dystonia as his aunt Gilly Marshall was diagnosed with the condition 3 years ago.

The K2B Walk.

Imagine a 42 mile sponsored walk! Then imagine a group of enterprising youngsters aged under 17 taking part to raise money for dystonia! In May 2009 a brave party of 8 youngsters took part in the Keswick to Barrow (K2B) walk to raise a total of £4,400 in sponsorship. The team won the MSF cup in recognition for the most sponsorship raised by a youth team.

Our marathon men 2009 – Robin and Gavin

They did it! Congratulations to Robin & Gavin (pictured above), they ran the London Marathon in fantastic time and in extreme temperatures.With the support of many sponsors they raised a whopping total of £11,500. The Dystonia Society is extremely grateful for their fantastic fundraising.

Lands End – Joh o’Groats

Dave Gough and Mark Thornley (pictured above) raised the magnificent total of £3178 while they cycled on Lejog. Highlights included conquering the Cornish & Devon hills without walking, meeting up with Mark's dad who has dystonia and cycling across the Severn Bridge with him in to Wales.
